Enjoying Christ, David Hearne

At the end of 2001 I was released from the Marine Corps and went home to Oklahoma City. I was already saved, but my living wasn't a good example of what a Christian should be. I was quite miserable and no longer had any direction in my life. I began to meet with some Christians in the local church. While I was meeting with these believers I began to enjoy the Lord. For the first time in years I began to be happy. I discovered that it really is wonderful to be a Christian enjoying God.

Since Christ was so enjoyable to me, I began to seek Him more. A Christian brother suggested that I go to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim. I took this advice and went. I've been here for over a year now, and Christ is becoming so real to me. I am experiencing Christ in so many ways. I'm really falling in love with my God. Here at the Training we are trained to enjoy Christ to the uttermost in prayer, in reading His Word, and in calling, “Oh Lord Jesus!” I was miserable for so many years, and I think that's why I'm so happy to have discovered that my Christ is so enjoyable.
